The Haan Corporation needed a catalog to serve a consumer audience and double as its primary sales collateral for business-to-business communications at The International Home + Housewares Show. The booth theme was inspiration and the purpose was to introduce a new line of design-forward products to buyers from the largest companies in the country. The headline Steam Inspires Us was created to fit the show theme but also to reinforce that, despite trend-setting design, steam technology and innovation remained the company’s focus.

The Haan Corporation ran a series of business-to-business advertisements in HomeWorld Business, a leading trade magazine in the housewares industry, to attract the attention of buyers for major retail outlets. The combination of ads and other marketing efforts helped put Haan on the shelves of Sears and Target. This is part of the 2011 campaign.

The Patriot-News is the only newspaper to win the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association’s Newspaper of the Year award for three consecutive years. In order to share each of the victories with the readers, and to showcase the talented newspaper staff, I created and designed this promotional section, which ran in the paper. The 2006 version of this piece won 1st Place in the 2007 PNA Newspaper of the Year awards in the Best Marketing & Promotion category.
The Patriot-News wanted an eye-catching and simple series of advertisements to promote the value of Sunday coupons. I conceptualized, wrote and provided images for the ads. The campaign was also translated into billboards and direct mail pieces.
The Patriot-News and a local auto dealer teamed up to give away a car during the holiday season. I conceptualized and wrote a campaign that informed the readership of the contest and when, where and how to enter. The teaser campaign was particularly effective. Battery included is my favorite.
In an effort to boost 7-day subscriptions rates, The Patriot-News developed a series of direct mail pieces that showcased the usefulness and value of the paper. I conceptualized and wrote the entire series. Click here to view PDF.
Cerberus specializes in solutions for those who need to sell a home quickly or buy a home without going through traditional channels. The company needed someone to write a brochure that would capture the philosophy of the business, which is to treat clients with dignity through the sale or purchase of a home and to connect them with services that could help strengthen their credit and improve their financial situation.
